How to get the most from your Nail Appointment

Before the Appointment

  • Do NOT cut your free edge too short
  • Apply Cuticle oil twice daily
  • Push cuticles back regularly
  • If wearing gels...DO NOT pick
  • Wear gloves for cleaning and gardening
  • Do NOT use your nails as tools

During the Appointment

  • Alter your chair and find a comfortable position.
  • You can move more during nail preparation, so get your phone on silent etc...this is YOUR time.
  • Sit as still as possible.
  • Keep your hand in the lamp until your nail tech asks you to move it.
  • relax relax relax
  • Don’t try and ‘help’ your nail tech by turning your hand, just relax, your nail tech will position your hand how they want it.
  • go carefully into the lamp NO ONE wants scrapes.
  • Leave your hand in the lamp for the duration. The light will go out when its done, leave your hand there.
  • When the nail tech is working on one hand leave the other on the desk.

24 Hours After

  • No direct heat e.g. Sunbeds or saunas
  • Avoid soaking in water. Swimming or long soaks in the bath

Home Care

  • Wear gloves whilst washing up, housework or gardening.
  • Be careful of exposing your nails to sun lotions, high alcohol sanitizers & chemical based products.
  • Moisturise nails daily, handcreams and almond oil recommended.
