Before the Appointment
- Do NOT cut your free edge too short
- Apply Cuticle oil twice daily
- Push cuticles back regularly
- If wearing gels...DO NOT pick
- Wear gloves for cleaning and gardening
- Do NOT use your nails as tools
During the Appointment
- Alter your chair and find a comfortable position.
- You can move more during nail preparation, so get your phone on silent etc...this is YOUR time.
- Sit as still as possible.
- Keep your hand in the lamp until your nail tech asks you to move it.
- relax relax relax
- Don’t try and ‘help’ your nail tech by turning your hand, just relax, your nail tech will position your hand how they want it.
- go carefully into the lamp NO ONE wants scrapes.
- Leave your hand in the lamp for the duration. The light will go out when its done, leave your hand there.
- When the nail tech is working on one hand leave the other on the desk.
24 Hours After
- No direct heat e.g. Sunbeds or saunas
- Avoid soaking in water. Swimming or long soaks in the bath
Home Care
- Wear gloves whilst washing up, housework or gardening.
- Be careful of exposing your nails to sun lotions, high alcohol sanitizers & chemical based products.
- Moisturise nails daily, handcreams and almond oil recommended.
